In the period 23-27 May 2022 the European Geosciences Union General Assembly will be held in Vienna in hybrid format. The EGU22 will bring together geoscientists from all over the world for one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary, and space sciences providing a forum where scientists, especially early career scientists, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience.
The SINOPTICA project and the ALARM project will be present to the conference with 4 different presentations in 4 consecutive days, so you will have the time to chat with us about our work, results and future developments.
We start on tuesday 24th of May with ASandy Chkeir presenting a deep learning model specifically developed to nowcast the weather in the area of Milano Malpensa airport. On wednesday 25th, Vincenzo Mazzarella will show the data assimilation system developed within SINOPTICA to nowcast the severe weather with a focus on the northern Italy. We follow on thursday 26th with Aikaterini Anesiadou presenting the nowcasting results and the performances of model developed by Sandy Chkeir. The series of presentations ends on friday 27th with Hugues Brenot showing a visualization tool of the different products to support the aviation management and control.
